Factored - Prototype
A downloadable game for Windows
I created this project a few years ago to prototype the systems for a 3D factory builder game (inspired by Factorio) and decided to release it as-is. This demo includes a short tutorial that walks the player through mining and automating the bare essentials for surviving on a cold harsh planet! Art and models are completely lacking, but there is some limited amount of open-ended play available after the tutorial is completed. Prototyping the following systems were the primary focus:
- Structure building
- Factory machines and recipes
- Machine plugin system
- Inventory item filtering
- Conveyor and factory automation
- Tutorial missions

Can you make a build for Linux?
I would really like to try this game without having to use Windows as it is very slow on my computer.
